Over a decade ago, I met a young man like me who was finding it hard to feed, let alone have a shelter over his head. His father had left him and his mother since he was 4years old and life really dealt with him and his ailing mother.
He did all he could to fend for himself and to take care of his mother. He was made jest of many times because of petty debts on food and groceries from shops in the neighbourhood he lived with his mother.
One thing about this young man is that, despite the bad situation around him, he was always positive. He was a good leg wearing a bad shoe then but people often saw him as a bad leg altogether.
Last week, I received a call from my Skype, he was the one that called. Guess what, he has changed his bad shoes to a good one. He now works for an international organization and he is globally relevant.
Know the difference between a good leg with bad shoes and a bad leg.
Never call a good leg wearing a bad shoe a bad leg because, the bad shoes can be changed. You’re not a bad leg, my dear friend. You don’t need a new leg, all you need is a good pair of shoes.
Happy new week friends
